Starting the third race of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup from eighth on the grid, Tech3 E-Racing’s Hector Garzo managed to defend his position after the first lap at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli today. In the course of the seven laps sprint race, the fast Spaniard made up one position after another to find himself in fifth after lap two and already on podium course at the end of the third lap. From then on, he was challenging for the lead and eventually saw the chequered flag in second, just 0.187 seconds from the winner.

On the other side of the Tech3 E-Racing outfit, Kenny Foray started well from the fifth row. He concluded the first lap in P16 and was involved in a strong fight for the points, but unfortunately went down heavily on the second lap while trying to overtake another contender. Luckily, the French rider didn’t sustain any severe injuries and will be eager to bring home some points tomorrow at 10.05 local time when the red lights turn off for the second race at the San Marino GP.

"I’m really happy, it’s my first podium! We have been trying all season so far and finally we managed to achieve it. Yesterday has been really difficult for me, my team was working nearly all night to fix the bike and they did a great job, so huge thanks to them! We know since yesterday, that we have the pace to fight for the podium and finally we did it. I hope to continue like this for the rest of the year."

Kenny Foray

Position: DNF

Championship: 18th

Points: 7

"I had a normal start and I followed Josh Hook and Sete Gibernau. On the second lap, I lost the rear and had a huge highside crash. I don’t really understand what happened. I wanted to pass Josh and it just happened. It was a big one, so I think I can be lucky to stand on both feet now."
