Tech3 E-Racing’s Lukas Tulovic displayed an outstanding performance in today’s first E-Pole at the hot Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto. The young German managed a fast lap of 1:48.811 minutes, which made him hold on to the top spot until the last minutes of the Qualifying. He eventually ended up second, just 0.191 seconds behind the pole setter and eagerly awaits his FIM Enel MotoE World Cup debut tomorrow at 10:05 local time.

Meanwhile Tommaso Marcon lowered his Friday’s best in this morning’s FP3. Although he struggled slightly to deliver immediately during the E-Pole, he did a 1:50.110 to end up in P15, which means the Italian MotoE rookie will have to start the 7 laps sprint race tomorrow from the fifth row of the grid.

"I’m super happy and I have to admit, that I didn’t expect to be in the front row for my first MotoE race. A huge thanks to my team, they did a really good job and helped me to feel better and better on this bike. We also managed to find a decent step for the setup, so I was able to do this lap time. During the lap, I felt quite good and I’m truly proud I could make it. Now we’re trying to give our best tomorrow."

Tommaso Marcon

Position: 15th

Time: 1:50.110

Laps: 3

"To be honest, it was really strange to do this first E-Pole. I need to improve and to learn how to do it well, especially being fast for one single lap. Luckily, we have been doing a great job so far, so our pace for the race seems to be quite good. Therefore, I’m sure we can do better in the race tomorrow."
