The Tech3 E-Racing duo of Lukas Tulovic and Tommaso Marcon started their third round of the 2020 FIM Enel MotoE World Cup today at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Both, the German and the Italian local hero used the track time in the first session shortly before lunch time today to get used to the circuit aboard their Energica Ego Corse.

From FP1 to FP2 Tulovic managed to improve his lap time by 0.834 seconds to eventually finish day one only 0.802 seconds behind the top in P11. Likewise, Marcon lowered his time by 0.532 seconds from the first to the second session, although he did the Free Practice two on used tyres, concluding Friday in P13.

Lukas Tulovic

Position: 11th

Time: 1:44.792

Laps: 15

"After the first time here with the MotoE bike, I’m quite happy, especially when I look at the gap to the front. There are many riders, who have been here last season already. Compared to this track, in Jerez we already had three days plus one day test ahead of the race weekends. So, there was a lot more track time and I also knew the circuit a lot better than this one here in Misano. During the sessions, I managed to progress, I went faster lap by lap, regained my feeling aboard the bike. In the end, the position is not that great, but I’m happy with the gap and the work we’ve done today."

Tommaso Marcon

Position: 13th

Time: 1:45.230

Laps: 18

"This morning we did the first session just to warm up and get to used to the track. This afternoon in FP2, I was the only rider, who went out on old tyres. I didn’t want to take a new one, as I wanted to save it for tomorrow morning. I learned a lot during this session and we did decent laps with very old tyres and were not slow compared to the others. Tomorrow we will use new rubber and try to get our best out of it."
