The first round of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup at the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto didn’t go to plan for the Tech3 E-Racing team today. After he had a great Saturday with P3 in the combined practices and a fantastic second place in the E-Pole, Lukas Tulovic started the eight laps race from the front row of the grid. He took over the lead for a few corners in the beginning and was in fifth at the end of lap one. Unfortunately, the German went down in turn five of the second lap and therefore finished his race early.

Feeling a lot better than on Friday, Tech3 E-Racing’s Lukas Tulovic started the second day of the first round of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup with a strong third position in FP3 today, which gave him a lot of confidence for the first E-Pole of the 2021 season. On his single flying lap, the German nearly managed to break into the 1:47 mark and ended up second, only 0.234 seconds behind the pole setter.

This weekend marks the opening of the third FIM Enel MotoE World Cup season. Following a weekend on a Moto2 bike, Lukas Tulovic struggled to re-adapt to his Energica Ego Corsa bike straight away in FP1, while he couldn’t exploit the second session of the day fully due to an interruption. Yet, the German still managed to finish the day in P13.
