“I’m very happy to come here to Montmeló. To be honest, in the past it was not my favorite circuit, because all the sectors are very fast and flowing, but the final one didn’t fit in. But now with the new layout, the circuit is so beautiful and I enjoyed a lot riding here today. This time it was a lot easier, because I didn’t have any Moto2 race in between, therefore I didn’t need to readapt to the MotoE bike.”

“It was easier to start. With the team, we did a fantastic job today, although we tried a setting in FP2, that didn’t quite work out as we wanted, but anyway to finish the day on the top is a great feeling and gives us good confidence for the rest of the weekend.”

“I had to discover another new track with the Energica Ego Corsa today, which was not easy. I was riding here before, but it was difficult, because it felt quite strange with this big bike. I needed to adapt a lot and I’m sure tomorrow I will feel even better. But we still have quite some work to do.”
