Tech3 E-Racing’s Lukas Tulovic had a strong Saturday for the third round of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup where he qualified for the second row on the grid. After topping the time sheets yesterday, the German managed to further improve in FP3 and ended up third. In the E-Pole this afternoon, he missed out on the pole position by just 0.326 seconds, which made him end up in fifth.

At the same time, Corentin Perolari made some good progress throughout Saturday as well. He lowered his lap time in FP3, before doing a personal best of 1:51.620 in the E-Pole, which was 0.605 seconds faster than his quickest time on Friday. Therefore, the Frenchman qualified in P13 and will start the race at 16:00 local time tomorrow from the fifth row of the grid.

“Today in FP3 I expected a little bit bigger improvement, to be honest. We tried something on the setup that was no big step, but we came back to the setting we had before, as I know it and I feel good with it. This weekend for me it was pretty difficult so far, because I was riding alone all the time.”

“I made decent lap times, but now it was tricky to improve on my own. So, I’m optimistic for the race tomorrow, that when I’m in the group with some riders, I can see some things and I can be as fast as them. Only a small mistake in the last corner stopped me from being in the front row. It’s a shame not to be there, but fifth position is a good place to join the fight tomorrow in the race.”

Position: 13th

Time: 1:51.620

“Today I’m happy, because in the morning I had a very good feeling with my bike. Compared to Le Mans, I also felt ok in Qualifying. I need to take it step by step, as I still get used to this machine and this format. To be fast on one single lap is quite tricky, but I didn’t do any mistake and managed to do my best time of the weekend.”
