Following a longer summer break, the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup is back in action this weekend as well at the Red Bull Ring, which is new to many contenders of the class. For Tech3 E-Racing’s Lukas Tulovic the weekend started with obvious improvements. While lowering his lap time from FP1 to FP2 by 0.885 seconds, he also climbed up the standings from P8 to conclude day one inside the top 5.

On the other side of the Tech3 E-Racing garage, Corentin Perolari first had to learn the layout of the Austrian track today. Thereby, the young Frenchman went 0.847 seconds faster in FP2 than in this morning’s first session to finish in P13, just about one second off the pace to the top.

“The first day here in Austria has been pretty good. In the first Free Practice I ended up eighth, as it wasn’t easy for me to regain my feeling aboard the bike and I struggled with the grip. But we made a huge improvement in FP2. It’s a bit of a shame to be not in the top 3, as I had one lap cancelled due to the track limits. Anyway, our speed is good, likewise my feeling, so I think we can do another decent step tomorrow, if the weather stays stable.”

“This morning, I was riding here for the very first time, so it was not perfect. But I tried to correct my mistakes in the afternoon and it worked out well. Overall, I’m very happy about my first day here at this circuit. I managed to improve my lap time from this morning to this afternoon by a huge margin. We definitely have to be careful with the track limits at this circuit, which is a bit tricky. I felt very good on the bike today and I already love this circuit! I’m looking forward to tomorrow to improve even more and I will give my best for the E-Pole.”
