On sunny Saturday, Tech3 E-Racing’s Lukas Tulovic upped his game. In this early morning’s FP3 he already went 0.478 seconds quicker than on Friday afternoon to climb up to third overall. He managed to even top this by another 0.147 seconds in the exciting E-Pole this afternoon to conquer second position for a third time in five rounds, just 0.047 seconds behind the pole setter. Now Tulovic is more than eager to start from the front row again.

After FP3 saw him already improving from his Friday’s best by nearly half a second to P12, Corentin Perolari delivered a solid E-Pole at the Red Bull Ring, which is completely new ground for the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup rookie. Therefore, he went into the E-Pole cautious, but managed to end up in 12th position, which means he will start the race tomorrow at 15:30 local time from the fourth row of the grid.

“For the Championship it can be an important day tomorrow as some of the top riders have been struggling a bit here today. Regarding us, this weekend has been very well so far. This stop and go track is usually not my strongest layout, but I have been very fast. I want to thank my whole team and especially my crew chief, as they prepared my bike just perfectly. I went just a little bit wide here and there on my fast lap, otherwise it could have been pole position, but I’m still very satisfied.”

Position: 12th

Time: 1:36.446

“I knew before this E-Pole that I have to be very cautious with the track limits here at this circuit in order to not get my lap time cancelled. I have to admit, it was not my fastest lap of this weekend, but I am still very positively surprised by this track, I really like it a lot. Tomorrow I’ll be careful at the beginning of the race, as the first corners are very tight. Yet, I can’t wait for this race at this beautiful circuit!”
