The FIM Enel MotoE™ World Championship travelled to Germany from the Netherlands for round 6/8, as just two stops will remain after the summer break, in Austria and San Marino. How did time go so fast? Tech3 E-Racing began their German campaign at the Sachsenring with positivity, fresh from a pole position and a win in Assen, as Alessandro Zaccone took his first victory with the French squad in race 2. As a busy Friday awaited the electric class, both Zaccone and Spinelli made the best of it. For the third time in a row, Zaccone will start from the pole position, and Spinelli from the third place on the grid.
Finally a winner with Tech3 E-Racing, Italian Alessandro Zaccone headed super motivated to the Sachsenring as he hoped to continue on his good form. On tricky track conditions as the rain from overnight left some damp patches over the circuit, Zaccone finished sixth of the combined practices, as he improved P2 with a 1’27.109, and qualified directly for qualifying 2. In the final qualifying session, very much delayed after the race direction had to re-deploy the air fence in T8, Zaccone went to go grab his third pole position in a row, clocking in a new all- time lap record in the electric class at the Sachsenring, in 1’26.234.
Nicholas Spinelli was coming from an average weekend in the Netherlands, still bothered by his finger injury from the Catalunya Grand Prix. He improved his lap time significantly in Practice 2 as track conditions became better, but it was bit short for the Italian, and he missed out on Q2, finishing P9 overall. In Q1, Spinelli pulled an early lap in 1’26.386 seing him take the lead of the session. While a red flag interrupted momentarily the session, Spinelli retained the top of the timesheets when the session resumed, and he qualified to Q2, his lap in 1’26.386 becoming the new all-time lap record, at the time. In the final qualifying session, his teammate Zaccone broke the lap record, but Spinelli was not far behind in 1’26.455, a time that placed him on the front row in P3.
Excellent qualifying day for the Tech3 E-Racing squad with Zaccone in pole and Spinelli in third. They will look to turn this advantage into big points on Saturday, with race 1 at 12:15 and race 2 at 16:10 (GMT+2).

"Unexpected qualifying because the feeling was not as good as usual this morning. I feel like we made a small step in qualifying this afternoon, and somehow we rode a very good lap that got us the pole position. The gap is small, I think that the races will be tight tomorrow, but we will try our best on Saturday. A huge thank you to my team, because I feel really good at the moment, and it is thanks to them!"

"It feels good to return to the first row after a few bad weeks for us. The feeling with the bike is good, which I am happy about. I am heading to the races positively, I think that we have the potential to fight for the podium, let’s see!"
