With the inauguration of the Enel FIM MotoE™ World Cup in 2019, the French based Tech3 E-Racing team was born, competing with two riders on the brand-new standardized Energica Ego Corsamachine. The Spanish youngster Hector Garzo was fighting for the first ever MotoE™ crown from the word go, collected three podiums throughout the initial season and finished in fourth of the overall standings. Meanwhile Kenny Foray, who started under the Tech3 E-Racing banner in 2019 as well, struggled to come up to speed quickly, coming from endurance racing and concluded the first year of the new World Cup in 18th position overall.
In 2020, the young duo of Tommaso Marcon and Lukas Tulovic was set to form the spearhead of Tech3 E-Racing in the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup. Italian Marcon, following selected Moto2™ World Championship appearances and two successful years in the FIM CEVMoto2™ European Championship, experienced a difficult start, but improved each time on track to eventually finish fifth at his home round in Misano. Yet, the German Tulovic arrived fresh from his first permanent year in the Moto2™ World Championship and showed some great talent to start from the frontrow two times, plus gaining a fourth as his personal best result already at thefirst race in Jerez back in May, until his progress was stopped early due to injury.
While Tulovic stayed Tech3 E-Racing for 2021 and targeted further progress aboard the Energica Ego Corsa machine, he partnered by Corentin Perolari this year. The young Frenchman came from successful first seasons in the World Supersport Championship and was eager to get his footinside the MotoGP™ paddock, learning the new category quickly in order to show strong progress. Lukas Tulovic gave Tech3 E-Racing its first moment of glory as he won the Austria Grand Prix, a great memory together with the team. He finished 8th in the championship with a total of 62 points, while teammate Corentin Perolari finished 13th.
In 2022, Tech3-Racing was set for its fourth season in the electric series with an exciting new line-up. The French squad reunited with the native from Valencia Hector Garzo alongside 2021 European Stock 600champion, Alex Escrig. With four Top 5 finishes including a best result in P4 at the second race of the Gran Premio de España, Garzo closed his second season in the electric class 8th in the championship with 86 points. Rookie Alex Escrig showed great consistency throughout the year with eight Top 10 out of twelve races, and made impressive progress towards the end of the season with two Top 5 over the last two rounds in Austria and San Marino. Escrig followed his teammate in the championship in 9th with 79 points.
2023 marked a new era in the electric class, with the arrival of manufacturer Ducati who took over from Energica after four fruitful years of partnership. With everyone involved eagerto take the electric series to a whole other level, the World Cup became the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Championship, with sixteen races split into eight European rounds. To walk through this new era with Ducati, Tech3 E-Racing chose experienced riders Alessandro Zaccone from Italy, and Hikari Okubo from Japan. After an exciting electric season, Zaccone finished eleventh in the championship with a total of 104 points, after a mixed season, highlighted by a fourth place at the German Grand Prix. Japanese Hikari Okubo started his 2023 campaign in a strong way, taking P5 at the opening race in Le Mans, but somehow he never managed to reiterate his efforts. He scored 79 points, allowing him to sit in thirteenth in the final riders standing. Tech3 E-Racing completed 2023 in eighth in the teams championship, with a total of 183 points scored.
In 2024, another eight-round, 16-race season awaits the most spectacular electric racing series in the world, with MotoE™ set to share the stage at the majority of the European dates on the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship calendar. There's also a whole new venue on the horizon, with the nine-team, 18-rider MotoE™ grid primed to take on the stunning Autodromo Internacional do Algarve for the first time. Alessandro Zaccone will race under Tech3 E-Racing colours for another season as he aims to solidify his results after a first season with Ducati. He will be joined by Italian Nicholas Spinelli who will start his second campaign in MotoE. In 2023, he finished sixth of the 2023 FIM Enel MotoE World Championship, a season that got the best win possible as he took his maiden win in the electric series at the final race of season finale hosted in Misano.
